Hypnotherapy is a tool of therapy which uses hypnosis (or deep relaxation) to facilitate change and discover sub-conscious reasons for present emotional and physical problems.
During hypnosis, you neither go to sleep nor become unconscious, but you will feel pleasantly relaxed, as though daydreaming. Hypnotherapy can help to resolve things about ourselves which we can't understand because their roots are in our subconscious.
In most cases, counselling or psychotherapy will identify the root cause of an emotional or physical problem.
The use of hypnotherapy is not always appropriate. However, if we believe that hypnosis would be beneficial, we will, of course, discuss this with you prior to using it.
Lorna holds the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy (Adv.Dip.Hyp.) and has been awarded the senior qualification in hypnotherapy practice by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. She is a full member of the General Hypnotherapy Register.
